Some believe that it is impossible to render yourself invisible, and if you say "completely invisible" sure, you'd be right, but we do know that camouflage works to make sometime appear to be invisible, and nature provides us with endless examples of this. Humans are not so bad at it either when they concentrate, as it is easy to fool the human eye sensors. But new technologies go one step further and allow light to literally bend around objects with the help of a few tricks from physics.
The military obviously has uses for this, but the kids at MIT have discovered that industry and governments have endless applications for invisibility technologies as well. For instance, one company wanted to put offshore wind generators off the coast of Cape Cod, and the folks living there, although very into alternative energies said; "No way, that would be an eyesore!" Ah, but what if they were invisible from the shore line, and it is now possible you see?
Now then, I predict within a few years police SWAT Teams in the United States will have their vehicles equipped with invisibility cloaking devices, and will literally be able to park their SWAT Team armored vehicle outside a home of a drug dealer, and anyone in that house can look out the window without being able to even see it.
